Understanding Perimeter Pest Control

Environmentally Safe Products

The “Clean Out” Using Environmentally Safe Products

Our General Insect Control program without any major problems starts with our basic cleanout. The initial application consists of treating the attic, treating the inside of the Home, Garage, Screenroom and a Full Perimeter Treatment around the structure including Webstering and ants prevention. After approximately 2 – 4 weeks a follow-up application is also required in order to gain control of the problem. Our maintenance applications are then performed every two months or as scheduled and are all performed on the exterior of the structure, PPC (Perimeter Pest Control). In some cases PPC is not possible therefore IPM (Interior Pest Management) is performed; this application is made on the interior of the structure. (This is to be determined by our pest technician or salesman). These services are warranted between applications. Carpenter Ants, Pharaoh Ants, Ghost Ants, White Footed Ants, Big Headed Ants, German Roaches and Fleas are not covered with our General Insect Control program.  Your home may have unique needs and need a more advanced clean out. Frequently asked questions about our perimeter pest control.

Where exactly does the perimeter treatment take place?

The pest control products we use for perimeter treatment are applied in a band up to 10 feet wide on soil, mulch, and lawn areas surrounding your home, and can also be applied directly to your homes foundation. Other locations can include soffits, windows, doorways, plumbing, electrical fixtures, lighting, and any cracks or crevices on the outside of your home. These are the areas were pests are usually found and can gain entrance into your home.

Will I ever see bugs inside my home again?

Yes, however, by treating the exterior of your home most pests will be stopped dead in their tracks before they ever get inside. Insects that have entered the structure would have come in contact with our residuals already and will die shortly after they enter the home before they get a chance to nest.

How is the treatment applied?

Your premier a pest control maintenance is performed on the outside of your home and consist of approximately five steps.

Step 1..
The removal of spiders and webbing is crucial. Even though we do not guarantee spiders, we treat and remove them in areas that may entice other insects into your home (usually around windows and doorways).

Florida has the most types of insects in the entire country. This is due to our temperature and humidity which mimics the environments of both South America and Australia. Not only does Florida have a great habitat for insects, many insects have found their way here on the ships that transport cargo to and from Florida. This is one of the reasons why pest extermination and residential pest control services are so widely needed across the state.
